ENGAGEMENT SESSION
When Sakena contacted me about her engagement photos, I encouraged her to GO BIG! I said, “Let’s go somewhere you’ve never been.” She said, “I want a landscape that seems unreal.” A perfect spot popped into my head—the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. I pitched the idea to Sakena and her fiance David. They said, “Hell yes!”
So the planning started in less than two months. I had the Bonneville Salt Flats on my watch list with Google Flights for a while now. I sent Sakena all my planning notes (flights, accommodations, rentals, outfit ideas). We planned to hit two locations in one day: Antelope Island and the Salt Flats. We got up early (4 am) to start makeup and hair. And hit the road by 5 am to catch the sunrise. We left our AirBnb by 5:30 pm for the Salt Flats to drive an hour and a half to the salt flats. We arrived right on time for the golden hour.
It was an epic day!
